Vodafone X project semicolon

This Project was a proactive idea I pitched to Vodafone. I had been working on their in-store Christmas campaign and was challenged with making Vodafone feel less corporate, cold, and more friendly plus emotionally driven. This led me to think of how Vodafone could achieve this outside their Christmas campaign. In my opinion, they needed to make a real statement. I decided the best way to do this would be to partner with a charity and mental health seemed the best fit as Vodafone’s mission statement is “making positive connections.” I had been told about project semicolon before and thought they had a similar mission to Vodafone. Both companies are passionate about starting conversations. To me, it seemed that Vodafone could massively help project semicolon by giving it a platform to spread its message of getting rid of the stigma around mental health. Vodafone could do something small in-store, like having charity buckets, but I thought a more impactful and meaningful statement was needed. I came up with the concept of changing the Vodafone logo into a semicolon and giving out free calls and texts on world mental health day, the idea being it might make people check in on friends and family creating opportunities for people to open up about their mental health. This would all be kick-started with an open letter shared with the general public.
